He always advises me, you really require improving on your language son. With this crap do you think you can be a successful copywriter? Do something before it is too late. I understand his worrying for me but then somewhere without being over confident I knew coming unto his level of knowledge is not possible but truly impossible. C’mon if I finish a book in two weeks or so he is also doing the same but actually since many many years before me. Im not defending myself but it is for feeble him. And can you explain it to him? The answer is a straight no.
I very vividly remember how time and again some friend come to you in the group telling you about all the difference and traverse situations between him and his dad cribbing about it. I always had a solution for them, which was, “ask your dad to give you your share of money and free you”. We all used to end up bursting into a rhythm of laughter which never ended actually ending the sad topic for that point of time. This saying was my punch line and beware it would really hurt, “never try it”. It was just a saying for the sake of saying.
Globalization in hands with the Media has really changed things a lot. The cultural belief in India and elsewhere is changing. The word Father is not just a word or a term or a common noun but a combination of values, strength, an achievement and ones existence. You’d be hearing a lot of people around us and the spirit dwelling in us fancying to greet our fathers as ‘DAD’. But this transformation is not only about a different salutation to him but a foremost negative transformation in respect and adore for him. Maybe it is not but also then this is what globalization and broadcast media have generally highlighted. Where is a short form used, ask yourself? If im not wrong it is commonly used to remember difficult terms, top of the mind recall, for smoothness or better pronounciation, or as a pet. Does the term Father, Daddy, Pitaji, Abbaji, need a short form to them? I don’t think so.
Once again pointing to the sources outside is just a cheap way one defends himself. Respect lies within us. What he all wishes is to see us happy not the extra excitement or love from us. Give him that one gleam of love today and make your life worthwhile.
